Welcome to Powerful Press

I had my first poem published when I was a young teenager. I also had five poems published during my post-secondary years. The majority of my writing is related to Indigenous matters. My poem, “Dene Drum,” was archived in celebration of the centennial for Alberta and Saskatchewan. I currently have two Indigenous poems published in an anthology that is now for sale at the Yellowknife Book Cellar, and the University of Saskatchewan. I majored in Native Studies, and completed my minor studies in English. I received Valedictorian and a Great Distinction in my post-secondary schooling. I successfully completed creative writing courses for poetry and short stories when I received my Degree in Education.
