I sing to keep the demons away at night,
I sing to keep the noose from going tight,
I think I just might hum away tonight.
Every poem I ever wrote
I did so with a song and a hum.
Singing with my late great Dad
Creator on my mind and tongue.
Singing to keep the devil away, since
Musical vibrations, send him for a run.
